OPPORTUNITY WELL MANAGED
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
In Acts chapter twenty-six, we read about Paul’s encounter with King Agrippa. Though his hands were in chains, his knowledge of Christ and his boldness to proclaim the gospel remained unbound. He seized the opportunity to speak about Jesus with passion, understanding, and respect. What could have been merely a defence of his freedom became an opportunity to point others toward salvation.
The Bible declares:
“Agrippa interrupted him. ‘Do you think you can make me a Christian so quickly?’ Paul replied, ‘Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that both you and everyone here in this audience might become the same as I am, except for these chains.’”Acts 26:28–29 (NLT)
While some see difficulty in every opportunity, others recognize opportunity in every difficulty. Paul did not allow his chains to silence his testimony. Likewise, your present circumstances need not prevent you from fulfilling God’s purpose. Even in a difficult season, God can open a door for you to touch a life.
Every day presents opportunities to bring Jesus to the people you meet. Whether they occupy positions of influence or live outside the spotlight, everyone needs the saving grace of Christ. Do not be intimidated by anyone’s status or overlook anyone because of their circumstances. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, you are called to be Christ’s witness wherever you go—Acts 1:8.
What a privilege to carry the message of God’s grace to your generation! Manage your kingdom opportunities wisely. Share the gospel with love, simplicity, and clarity. Listen with compassion, speak with respect, and trust the Holy Spirit to work in people’s hearts.
The message remains unchanged: God desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth—1 Timothy 2:3–4. Your responsibility is to remain faithful in sharing Christ; the power to save belongs to God.
May you recognize the doors God opens and receive the courage to walk through them. You will not miss your opportunities to serve His purpose, in Jesus’ name.
Action Points:
Ask God for wisdom to recognize and maximize opportunities to share Christ. Prayerfully reach out to someone today, speak without fear or prejudice, and let your conduct reflect the gospel you proclaim.
Prayer: Father, open my eyes to the opportunities You place before me. Fill me with wisdom, compassion, and boldness to share Jesus. Let my words and actions draw others to You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
