FEED YOUR SPIRIT INTENTIONALLY
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
Beloved, I am sure you know this basic truth about life: Whatever you continually feed will eventually become stronger.
Hear me today, If you constantly feed fear, fear grows. If you continually feed offense, bitterness grows. If you continually feed doubt, unbelief grows.
But when you feed your faith with God’s Word, your spiritual strength begins to increase.
Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Don’t allow your problems to speak louder than God’s promises. When fear says, “You won’t make it,” find what God says. When discouragement says, “Give up,” return to His promises. When temptation says, “You cannot resist,” remember that God has provided a way of escape. When circumstances say, “Impossible,” remember that with God all things are possible.
Make God’s Word your final authority. A believer who consistently feeds upon Scripture is developing spiritual strength for battles that have not even appeared yet.
Declaration:
I declare that I have a growing appetite for the Word of God. My faith is becoming stronger, my understanding deeper, my convictions firmer, and my decisions wiser. God’s Word is transforming my thoughts, desires, attitudes, and character. I refuse spiritual ignorance, deception, fear, and unbelief. I will read the Word, meditate upon it, believe it, speak it, and obey it. The Word of Christ shall dwell richly within me, and I will continue growing in grace in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
