THE PATHWAY TO GOD’S BEST

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

It is never a hard thing for the Lord to bless His own children. I have come to believe that many of the struggles believers experience are rooted in disobedience to God and a refusal to walk in His ways. No loving father, when asked by his child for bread, will give him a stone; neither will he give a serpent when asked for a fish. Our God is infinitely good, gracious, and loving. He never delights in withholding good things from those who sincerely seek Him and walk in obedience.

The Bible declares in 1 John 3:22 (KJV):

“And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.”

Pleasing the Lord is an expression of genuine faith in His sovereignty and goodness. It positions us for the continual flow of His abundant blessings. The God you serve is too generous for you to live a defeated, impoverished, or miserable life. His desire is to prosper you spiritually, physically, and materially so that your life will reflect His glory.

God further promises in Deuteronomy 28:1 that if you diligently listen to His voice and carefully obey His commandments, He will set you high above all the nations of the earth. This speaks of divine promotion, favor, preservation, fruitfulness, and uncommon breakthroughs. Obedience is the pathway to God’s best.

Take a moment to examine your life. Is your way pleasing to the Lord? Are your decisions guided by His Word, or have you chosen to follow the desires of your own heart and the patterns of this world? Disobedience brings unnecessary struggles, but obedience opens the door to divine intervention and lasting peace.

Choose to obey the Master today. As you walk in His ways, you will experience His blessings, enjoy His favor, and receive the grace to fulfill His purpose for your life. You will occupy your God-ordained place and possess your inheritance in Christ Jesus.

Prayer:

Father, help me to delight in Your Word and never follow the ways of this world that lead to destruction. Let my life continually please You, and may Your blessings, favor, and grace rest abundantly upon me. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
