GUARD YOUR HEART DILIGENTLY

Your heart is the control center of your life. Your thoughts, words, decisions, and actions are greatly influenced by what you permit to dwell within you. This is why God commands you to guard your heart diligently.
The Bible says: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23
Not everything deserves access to your spirit. Bitterness, fear, ungodly influences, and negative thoughts can weaken your faith and hinder your spiritual growth. However, when your heart is filled with God’s Word, His truth will guide your decisions and strengthen you against temptation.
Be careful about what you watch, listen to, and continually meditate upon. Fill your heart with Scripture, worship, prayer, and everything that draws you closer to Christ. A heart governed by God will produce a life that glorifies Him.
Examine what has been occupying your heart lately. Surrender every unhealthy thought, offence, fear, and distraction to God. Deliberately replace them with His promises and truth.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, purify my heart and help me to guard it diligently. Remove every thought, desire, and influence that draws me away from You. Fill me with Your Word and let my life continually reflect the character of Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
