NOT BY MIGHT, NOT BY POWER

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

May you never reach a point where you believe that the good things happening in and around you are the result of your own strength, intelligence, or connections. God is the giver of every good and lasting gift.

“Then he answered and said to me: ‘This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 NKJV

Lay aside pride and arrogance. The Lord is the One working all things out for your good. Your daily responsibility is gratitude to the Owner of the blessings you receive—even on days when you didn’t pray as you should.

I’ve met believers who say, “It’s because I prayed so much that things are working for me.” Prayer is powerful and essential, but no—those blessings are flowing because of God’s mercy and grace.

Here’s the word I want to leave with you today: Be grateful to God. Remember to thank Him for every human connection He has placed in your life. We often say, “It can only be God.” May that become your testimony. For me—in life, family, and ministry—it can only be God.

Reflection & Prayer:

Father, I remember where You brought me from. I’m here to say, thank You, Lord, for everything You have done and for everything You will continue to do. You are my Lord, my Savior, and my God.
