THE PROMISE OF DIVINE PRESENCE

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

The real deal is the presence of the Almighty. If God is not there , I don’t want to be found there. There’s no better experience than the move of the Lord in favor of His people. I pray you will come to a level where your journey is totally characterized by the power and glory of the Almighty.

The rest God gives is not merely physical quiet or the absence of activity. It is the deep inward calm that comes from knowing we are not walking through life alone. His presence settles anxious thoughts, strengthens weary hearts, and reminds us that what feels overwhelming to us is never beyond His care.

There are days when life feels unusually heavy. The mind grows tired, the heart feels stretched, and even simple responsibilities can seem harder to carry. In moments like these, what we often need most is not a quick solution, but the steadying presence of God.

The Bible declares concerning Moses,

“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” Exodus 33:14 (KJV)

When Moses was carrying the weight of leadership and uncertainty, the Lord gave him a promise that still comforts us today: “My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” God did not simply promise Moses a better circumstance—He promised Himself. That is always the deeper gift of God’s faithfulness. His presence sustains us in ways that circumstances alone never can.

Sometimes we search for peace by trying to control every detail, solve every problem, or rush through every burden. But true rest is found not in control, but in communion. The more aware we become of God’s nearness, the more anchored our souls become in the middle of demanding seasons.

If your heart feels burdened today, do not overlook the power of God’s presence. He is not distant from your weariness. He walks with you, strengthens you, and gives a kind of rest that the world cannot provide. What holds you steady is not your own strength—it is the faithful presence of God.

Prayer: Father, let Your presence steady me, strengthen me, and give me the rest that only You can provide. Help me to trust You fully today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
