ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN CHRIST
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
In our devotional yesterday, we considered abiding in the True Vine and in that same spirit, let’s examine today’s topic with unwavering attention.
It’s good to know that spiritual stability does not happen by accident. It is the result of being deeply rooted in Christ. A tree with shallow roots may look healthy for a season, but when strong winds come, its weakness is exposed.
Apostle Paul encouraged the Colossians by saying:
“Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” — Colossians 2:7 (KJV)
To be rooted in Christ means your confidence, identity, and direction are anchored in Him. To be built up in Him means your life is continually strengthened through His Word and shaped by His Spirit. When faith is established this way, gratitude naturally overflows.
Storms may come, pressures may rise, but a rooted believer does not collapse easily. Depth determines durability. If you desire lasting impact and steady growth, go deeper in Christ. The roots you cultivate in private will sustain you in public.
Prayer: Father Lord, root me deeply in You. Establish my faith and build my life upon Your truth. Let gratitude overflow from a heart that is grounded in Christ. Keep me steady in every season in Jesus mighty name.

For a Christian to be rooted and built up in Christ is by establishing a firm foundation through daily Scripture meditation, prayer, and fellowship. This process involves ongoing spiritual growth. I pray that the Lord will give us strength to overcome all the obstacles that comes in our path in Jesus name.
God blessed.
Amen. God bless you ma.
