GUARD YOUR SPACE FROM TROUBLE MAKERS
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
Some people appear to have an unusual attraction to trouble. Their lives swing from one crisis to another, and anyone who remains within the sphere of their influence often finds themselves pulled into unnecessary stress, confusion, and strife. This is not God’s design for a fulfilled and peaceful life. Though such individuals may seem celebrated in certain circles for a season, their paths often end in ruin and obscurity.
The Bible declares in Proverbs 6:16–19 (KJV):
“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”
This passage clearly reveals the attitudes and behaviors that the Lord detests—especially the sowing of discord and the deliberate pursuit of mischief. For this reason, wisdom demands that you carefully distance yourself from those who thrive on trouble and spread strife wherever they go. As a believer, your calling is clear: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
Let your presence bring peace, stability, and joy to every environment you enter. Be intentional about guarding your space, your spirit, and your relationships. You are called to be an agent of positive impact, a carrier of peace, and a channel of blessing to many generations. This is who you are, and this is who you will remain, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer: Father, keep me far from trouble and from those who promote it. Make me an instrument of peace and a vessel of eternal blessings to many generations, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
