RESCUED AND SAVED BY GRACE
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
The greatest miracle in the life of any believer is the miracle of salvation. It is the divine rescue of a soul helplessly drowning in sin, darkness, and spiritual death. We were once lost, wandering without direction, living far from the beauty and fellowship of God’s presence. But the Lord, rich in mercy and overflowing with love, stretched out His everlasting arms and pulled us out from the pit of destruction.
This is the testimony of every redeemed child of God:
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,(by grace ye are saved).” — Ephesians 2:4–5 KJV
God did not save you because you were perfect. He did not rescue you because you had it all figured out. No! He saved you because He loved you, even when you were completely unworthy of such love. His grace found you when you were spiritually dead. His mercy raised you when you had no strength to rise. His kindness embraced you when shame tried to push you away.
Grace stepped in where human effort failed.
Grace spoke for you when guilt silenced your voice.
Grace lifted you when sin’s weight pressed you down.
Grace revived you when your spirit had no life.
You are not standing today because of your works — you are standing because God chose to love you with an everlasting love. And this grace that saved you is still working for you. It strengthens you, guides you, and keeps you in the path of righteousness. It is the unmerited gift that continually transforms your life into a testimony of God’s glory.
Beloved, walk boldly in this truth: You are rescued. You are redeemed. You are saved — by grace.
Let no condemnation whisper lies into your heart. The blood of Jesus is louder. Let no past mistake define your identity. Grace has rewritten your story. Let no fear hold you back from God’s presence. He has already accepted you by His mercy and love.
Prayer: Father, thank You for rescuing me and saving me by Your grace. Let Your mercy continue to uphold me, and let Your love guide every step I take. Help me to live daily in the fullness of Your grace. Amen.
