CHOSEN AND BLESSED BY THE LORD
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
The call of God is always the starting point of greatness. When God called Abram out of his father’s house, it was not an empty instruction—it was the unveiling of a destiny designed to make him the father of many nations. In the same way, when Jesus called His disciples in Mark chapter 3, His purpose was to train, empower, and equip them with spiritual capacity to disciple nations and silence the works of darkness. As they walked with Him, this divine purpose became their reality.
Scripture affirms in Psalm 33:12 (KJV):
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.”
To be genuinely blessed, you must make the Lord your God and reject every other influence, power, or idol seeking your allegiance. Once God becomes your God, you step into the realm of divine choice—where you are graced for greatness beyond human limitations.
Whomever God chooses, He empowers.
He chose Joshua, and grace carried him into a victorious leadership that ushered Israel into the Promised Land. He chose David, and a shepherd became a king. He chose Mary, and a virgin carried the Savior of the world.
You don’t have to search endlessly for significance—your rest is in God. When you align your heart with His Word and submit fully to His will, you begin a journey into peace, favor, and all-round settlement. Like Israel, you too can be chosen to bear God’s glory and shine His light to the nations.
Surrender fully today. Let His choice shape your destiny.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your call upon my life. Help me to remain in tune with Your Word and Your divine instructions. Lead me into greatness, and choose me as a vessel to carry Your glory to the nations of the earth. Amen.
