ACCORDING TO HIS WORD

You are a product of God’s Word, and it is essential that you live and operate according to His counsel and plans for your life. The Word of the Lord is His will revealed to you. Outside the power, light, and direction of the Scriptures—the written Word of God—no one can secure a beautiful future on the earth.
Consider the response of Mary in Luke 1:38:
“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”
Mary received greatness because she aligned her life with God’s Word. In the same way, you must commit yourself to discovering the counsel of God and stop running from pillar to post. Many frustrations in life are born out of ignorance of divine direction.
Search the Scriptures diligently. Wait upon the Lord for instruction. Pray to hear His voice clearly. And above all, be ready to obey His counsel promptly. This is the pathway to peaceful, productive, and successful living. If the Lord has spoken, He is more than able to bring His Word to pass. Go for His Word today and you will never miss your place in destiny.
Prayer: Father, speak Your Word to me. Reveal Your counsel concerning my destiny, and grant me grace to live according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

According to his word” is a phrase rooted in the Bible that means “in alignment with God’s revealed will, promises, and teachings”. It implies a life of submission and obedience, where one’s prayers, actions, and understanding are shaped by scripture, not personal desire or imagination. A famous example is Mary’s response to the angel Gabriel: “Let it be done to me according to your word.
