THE SCARCITY OF FAITHFULNESS
By Pastor Ayodeji Agbelusi
In Psalm 12:1 the Bible reads; Help, Lord ; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. Recall that God is observing our actions, and we are also surrounded by a cloud of witnesses; individuals of faith who have lived in this world and remained devoted to the Almighty God. The question this morning is, to what extent are you living a godly life, and how faithful can you be in your service and devotion to the Almighty? Instead of focusing on the flaws of others, examine your own shortcomings that may be hindering your perception of God.
Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? Proverbs 20:6 KJV
While you may loudly declare your long-standing commitment to the church and your significant contributions to its advancement, the fundamental question persists: is your service truly dedicated to God, or is it driven by a desire for human approval and earthly rewards? The Lord demands faithfulness from us. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 4:2, Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful and you remember Hebrew 12:14 says without peaceful living and holiness no man shall see the Lord. All we need as believers is to take our positions today and adjust our lifestyles to meet God’s requirements.
Pray with me: Father, please release your grace unto me and help me to serve you faithfully in all holiness all through the days of my life.
