DON’T GROW WEARY IN DOING GOOD

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

One of the most significant statements I grew up to know is: “it’s good to be good”. This is actually true and if you have practiced goodness enough, you’ll realize it pays to humbly bless and support people around you especially those in your immediate family, friends and the community of faith. The Christian faith inspires us to appreciate diverse cultures of the kingdoms and the inherent values that distinguish us as followers of Jesus Christ. One of such values is the daily practice of goodness.

Now the word of the Lord is coming to us again this day and it says:

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9 NLT

You cannot labor in vain within this Kingdom, which is why persistence in good deeds is crucial. A harvest season has been prepared by God for every diligent citizen of His kingdom. I can affirm that serving God is never futile, and it is vital to understand that He keeps a record of your good works and the sacrifices you make to improve the lives of others. If you continue to persevere without growing weary, the Lord will graciously  open the heavens and favorably remember you, rewarding your persistence with bountiful blessings. As Mordecai’s faithfulness to the King was rewarded in Esther Chapter Six, the Lord will similarly inspire this generation to recognize and celebrate your achievements, resulting in divine favor, honor, and lifting. Your good works and act of kindness may not be appreciated  or valued by some folks. Never allow this to discourage you from following divine leading in manifesting through grace that you carry. I pray for you today, your dedication will be duly acknowledged and celebrated in Jesus mighty name.

Let’s Pray: Father, empower me with grace to be a blessing continually. Separate me from every form of discouragement and make my seasons of harvest great in Jesus name.
