GOD’S OWN PEOPLE

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

It is a wonderful experience to have the Almighty as one’s father and to be known as His own. The joy of belonging to God’s family is immense. This has been God’s plan for humanity since the beginning of time. God’s primary concern is always the welfare of humanity. He wants to save humanity from the consequences of sin and reunite them with His love and comfort. By accepting His love and surrendering to His will through faith in Jesus Christ, one’s life is transformed, unlocking a destiny filled with glory and virtues.

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:33 KJV

The scripture above explicitly states God’s plans and arrangements, which are a reflection of His boundless love for humanity. Does this not encourage you to seek a change in your spiritual identity? Many people strive to become citizens of a foreign nation to enhance their lifestyle and gain access to earthly benefits, but identifying with Jesus will bring about a far more profound transformation in your life. Make a conscious decision to adopt divine discipline and connect with God. His laws will free you from lawlessness and elevate you to a state of glory, both in this life and eternally. May you experience peace and joy as you prepare your heart to be permanently identified with the owner of your soul.

Prayer Point: Father, I yield to your divine plan. May your sacred presence be fully infused into my being. Liberate me from every transgression and unrighteousness that hinders my devotion to you, in Jesus’ name.
