ABOVE ALL, BE GRATEFUL

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

Thanksgiving remains one of the most significant spiritual exercises that should never be underestimated. You will always have reasons to be grateful, even when you feel that you have none due to your current circumstances or the situation that has overwhelmed you without any tangible support.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

It is fitting to express gratitude for the gift of life. God’s presence is steadfast, working in your favor at all times. Moreover, hope is available to you, made possible through divine grace. Reflecting on the passing year, you can observe the numerous ways God has provided for and sustained you. I am assigning you a straightforward task: reflect on and express gratitude for the Lord’s faithfulness. Practicing gratitude will invite more divine visitations and blessings into your life and that of your family. May you not miss the glory ahead through ingratitude in Jesus name

Reflections: While breath remains, possibilities endure. Be grateful and attribute glory to God. This reflects His purpose for your earthly existence.

Psalm 100 gives five concrete commands as to how to thank God — (1) make a joyful noise, (2) serve the Lord, (3) come into His presence, (4) know the Lord, and (5) bless His name.
To be grateful to God for everything, you can regularly express your thanks through prayer, actively seek out blessings in your life, both big and small, and consciously practice mindfulness to appreciate the everyday miracles around you,
