EXHIBITING HUMILITY BEFORE GOD AND MAN

Experiencing God’s love and living in accordance with His will is a unique privilege. God’s design for humanity emphasizes simplicity and humility. In contrast, pride can lead to a hardened heart, causing individuals to disregard God and their own sin, ultimately damaging their relationship with Him. Pride and arrogance of the heart will inevitably lead to a loss of divine grace and glory, and ultimately, a downfall. To genuinely walk with God, one must necessarily discard egoistic tendencies and adopt a posture of humility, as revealed in God’s word.
Our Lord Jesus said in Matthew 23:12; And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
The verse above sounds so simple but it controls how well we will fare in our walk with God. There’s nothing glorious about you that comes not from the Lord himself. You have no reason to exalt yourself above God or your neighbors. Humility is the essence of true greatness. Pride seeks to elevate us above others, even God. How foolish to try to steal the glory that only God deserves! The Lord is set to walk with you if you can control how you rate yourself and keep allowing your heart to be instructed and guided by righteousness.
Pray with me: Father, please help me. I need your grace everyday to walk humbly before you and avoid sinful lifestyle that will take me away from your presence in Jesus name.
