DELIVERED FROM VANITY
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
I want you to take your mind back on several items you bought with your hard earned money that you never needed and never used. Think of some trips you ventured into that were unnecessary and didn’t contribute anything to your future self and worth. These two examples will bring you close to what vanity truly connotes.
2 Kings 17:14-15 KJV: Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God. [15] And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
Accepting to live as instructed by the Lord is your responsibility and gateway into freedom from vain engagements. Don’t start until you have divine direction. Refuse to company with those that won’t lead you to peace, joy and glory. Choose the way of the Lord and maintain your faith in him for your deliverance and escape from wasteful spending and living. If it won’t profit you nor bring joy and eternal satisfaction, drop it because it will result in vanity upon vanity and may you be delivered from them all today in Jesus name.
Pray with me: Father, open my eyes of understanding to what is true and profitable. Deliver me from vain engagements but join me with those that you have commissioned for profitable living and achievements in this life in Jesus name.
