DON’T LOSE YOUR HUNGER FOR GOD

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

Today, I will like you to pay attention to your love for God and the very reason He loves you so much so you won’t allow anything to separate between you and the real lover of your soul.

You may lose opportunities and recover them. You may lose possessions and replace them. But be extremely careful when you begin losing your hunger for God.

When prayer becomes optional, pay attention. When Scripture no longer excites you, pay attention. When worship becomes mechanical, pay attention. When things that once convicted you no longer trouble your conscience, pay attention.

Don’t condemn yourself—return to God.

David prayed in Psalm 51:12, “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation.”

God can revive your spiritual appetite.

Separate yourself from unnecessary distractions and seek God again.

You don’t need to remain spiritually dry simply because you have experienced a dry season.

There is fresh water available for every thirsty soul.

Today, protect your hunger. You don’t need a complicated spiritual program to begin again—simply turn your attention toward Jesus. Give Him your time, open His Word, speak with Him sincerely, and allow the Holy Spirit to rekindle your desire for His presence. Never become satisfied with merely knowing about God when you have been invited to know Him more deeply.

Today’s Declaration: I declare that my soul hungers and thirsts after the living God. Spiritual complacency, coldness, distraction, and dryness will not control my walk with Christ. I refuse to allow temporary pleasures to replace eternal priorities. I will seek the Lord continually and pursue greater intimacy with Jesus Christ. As I hunger and thirst after righteousness, I shall be filled. My spiritual life shall remain fresh, vibrant, fruitful, and overflowing with the presence of God. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
