DOING GOOD AS A KINGDOM CULTURE

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

The anointing of God upon Jesus was not for mere showmanship. The Bible says that He went about doing good (Acts 10:38). So it must be with every true follower of the Lord. Your calling, election of grace, gifts, opportunities, and blessings must be tailored toward doing good, helping others to encounter God, and bringing relief to those who are hurting.

The Bible declares:

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” — James 4:17 KJV

Every little act of faith and kindness counts in this Kingdom, and you cannot afford to sit on the fence. If the genuine love of God is in you, you will desire to be a blessing and deliberately act as one. Christianity is not only about what we receive from God; it is also about what God can do through us for others.

The world is going through pains, afflictions, sorrows, and calamities. Believers in Christ must arise as instruments of hope, compassion, and deliverance, pointing people to Jesus and bringing many sons unto glory. It becomes a serious matter when we know the good we ought to do, have the opportunity to do it, yet choose to do nothing.

Arise today and do good unto all men, especially those of the household of faith (Galatians 6:10). Look around you: someone needs your prayer, encouragement, generosity, kindness, counsel, or helping hand. Never underestimate what God can accomplish through one simple act of love.

The Lord is blessing you so that you can become a blessing to others. Doing good is not merely an occasional activity; it is a Kingdom culture.

DECLARE TODAY:

I am blessed to be a blessing. I will not withhold good when it is in my power to do it. The Lord will use my life, gifts, resources, and opportunities to bring hope and blessings to others. I will go about doing good and representing Jesus everywhere I go. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
