ROOTS BEFORE FRUITS
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
Beloved, do not become discouraged because you cannot yet see all the results you desire. Remember, roots grow before fruits appear.
God may be doing something deep within you before He displays something great through you.
Galatians 5:22–23 reminds us that the fruit of the Spirit includes love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control.
So take roots downward into His grace and keep growing. Don’t stop praying but keep the fire burning. Obey the Lord joyfully and continue in His service without looking back.
Do not measure spiritual progress only by visible accomplishments. Sometimes your greatest progress is becoming more patient, more forgiving, more disciplined, more loving, and more dependent upon God. Stay connected to Jesus. A fruitful life will eventually reveal a deeply rooted relationship with Him.
Make this Declaration today:
I declare that I am firmly rooted and connected to Jesus Christ, the true Vine. My spiritual life will not become dry or unfruitful. I receive fresh grace to pray, study God’s Word, obey His instructions, and walk continually in the Spirit. Every unproductive habit and distraction is removed from my life. I will grow in love, faith, wisdom, holiness, and spiritual maturity. My life shall bear abundant and lasting fruit for the glory of God. I will flourish in Christ and become a blessing to my generation, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
