BUILT AND STRENGTHENED BY HIS WORD
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
The Word of God is the believer’s greatest source of spiritual strength. In a world filled with uncertainty, conflicting voices, and daily pressures, God’s Word remains a sure foundation for those who trust in Him. It provides wisdom for decision-making, comfort in times of trouble, and strength for victorious living.
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” — Psalm 119:11 (KJV)
Many believers desire spiritual growth but fail to devote time to studying and meditating on the Scriptures. Spiritual maturity does not happen by accident. It is cultivated through a consistent intake of God’s Word. Just as the body requires food for physical strength, the spirit requires the Word of God for spiritual vitality.
The Psalmist declared that God’s Word was a lamp unto his feet and a light unto his path. When God’s Word fills your heart, confusion gives way to clarity, fear gives way to faith, and weakness gives way to strength. The Word equips you to resist temptation and empowers you to walk in obedience to God’s will.
No matter what challenge you face today, there is a promise in God’s Word that can sustain you. Hold firmly to His promises, meditate on them daily, and allow them to shape your thoughts and actions.
Prayer: Father, give me a deeper hunger for Your Word. Let Your truth guide my decisions, strengthen my faith, and transform my life. Help me to walk according to Your will every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
