FUNCTIONING STEADILY BY GRACE

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

God’s grace is the foundation beneath every step of faith. It reminds us that our relationship with God is not built on performance but on promise. We are not sustained by how well we do, but by how faithfully God gives. When we forget this, we grow weary trying to earn what God has already freely provided.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)

The life we enjoy in faith is by the grace and mercy of God. We no longer struggle in our own strength but depend fully on the grace that brought us from darkness into God’s marvelous light, empowering us to flourish and follow the Lord to the end.

Today, let grace steady your heart. You do not have to prove your worth to God; Christ has already declared it at the cross. Faith simply receives what grace has supplied. When guilt whispers and pressure rises, return to this truth: your standing with God rests in His gift, not your effort. Grace does not excuse growth, but it empowers it—quietly, faithfully, daily. Ask for His grace and every moment of the way and your journey will be totally simplified.

Prayer: Father, I come humbly before you today. Please strengthen my faith today and let Your grace shape how I live and love in Jesus’ name, Amen.
