FROM WILDERNESS TO RESTING PLACE
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
Life comes in seasons, and sometimes those seasons present themselves as wilderness experiences—dryness, uncertainty, barrenness, and silence. This was the picture of Sharon and Achor, as the scriptures reveal. Once flourishing places had become empty, and fruitful fields had turned to shame.
“The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.” Isaiah 33:9 KJV
Beloved, dryness is not the end of your story. When God steps in, He turns desolation into divine habitation. The same Sharon that became a wilderness was later spoken of by the Lord as a fold of flocks, a place of rest and satisfaction for His people.
“And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.” Isaiah 65:10 KJV
This is the promise of God to every seeker. Those who diligently seek the Lord will always find restoration, refreshing, and divine settlement. What once looked like a valley of trouble (Achor) becomes a resting place. What seemed like shame and barrenness becomes a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
No matter how dry your season has been, the Lord is turning it into a place of abundance and divine comfort. Your wilderness is becoming a pasture. Your valley is becoming your resting place. Seek Him, and He will turn your mourning into joy.
Prayer: Father, please turn every wilderness in my life into a place of rest and fruitfulness. Restore joy, peace, and divine settlement to every area of my destiny.
