DIVINELY ORDERED AND DIRECTED

You cannot sink freely in life unless you are entangled in sin and tied to the world of unrighteousness. Sin is a heavy sinker. Anyone held down by its grip will continually fail—unless mercy from the Lord intervenes and brings genuine conversion. I pray that you will not be deceived into losing your place in God, in Jesus’ name.

The Psalmist understood this truth and prayed earnestly:

“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.”(Psalm 119:133 KJV)

Life is too spiritual, too delicate, and too costly to be lived casually or at the mercy of the world. Serious-minded believers know they must seek divine direction and divine guidance every step of the way. Careless living, however, always opens the door to needless temptations and repeated afflictions in the hands of the enemy.

The Word of the Lord is light. When you walk in it and submit to His instructions, you are led far away from the dominion of sin. Your journey in life was designed by God to be glorious, but that glory only shines forth through divine directions and timely instructions.

Let this be your prayer today:

“Father, order my steps in Your Word, deliver me from self-effort, and keep me from the deceitfulness of sin. Let my path shine brighter in the light of Your truth.”
