GROWING TOGETHER IN LOVE.
By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi
The expression “brotherly love” as used in the Bible speaks of the sincere, godly affection believers must have for one another. It is the kind of love that makes us care deeply, support one another in truth, forgive quickly, rejoice with each other, and stand faithfully by one another in times of need. This is one of the beautiful expressions of true Christianity, and it makes a remarkable difference in our world today.
You cannot go far in this Kingdom without a genuine heart of love. True love is one of the clearest proofs of a life transformed by God. If your love for God, His Kingdom, and His people is not sincere, it will eventually become evident. But when love is genuine, it cannot be hidden. A true heart of love will always reveal itself through humility, kindness, patience, and selflessness.
The Bible says in Romans 12:10:
“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.”
The love of God builds us, shapes us, and makes us fit to remain as true citizens of His Kingdom. This divine expression of love, revealed through our Lord Jesus Christ, is the very foundation of our faith. If we must be effective in our walk with God and win the world for Christ, then love must remain our motivation.
The God-kind of love is pure, peaceful, gentle, and free from pride, self-praise, and arrogance. Genuine love does not seek attention; it seeks to bless. The humility that flows from a heart of love will naturally draw hungry souls closer to God and to the beauty of His Kingdom.
Let your life become a living demonstration of genuine brotherly love. As you do, you will enjoy peace, strengthen relationships, and experience the ceaseless flow of God’s blessings upon your life.
Prayer:
Father, let Your love abide richly in me. Give me the grace to love Your house and Your people genuinely. Help me to walk worthy of Your grace and blessings, and let my life continually reflect the beauty of Christ’s love, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
