REJECTING VAIN WEALTH

By Pastor Ayo-Simeon Agbelusi

Not all that glitters is gold. Jesus warned in Luke 12:15:

“Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

Many are derailed in their desperate pursuit of riches, wealth, power, and affluence. But a true child of God understands that it is the Lord who gives power to get wealth.

The Bible says:

“Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.” — Proverbs 13:11 (KJV)

To avoid vanity, you must view life’s journey through the lens of Scripture. Earthly pursuits outside of God’s direction will only lead to emptiness. The enemy is constantly luring souls into destruction through deceptive and demonic offers—especially in these last days.

Do not let your heart stray into unrighteousness. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Wealth gained by vanity or ungodly means will quickly fade, but those who trust in the Lord will abide in peace, longevity, and true prosperity.

Prayer:

Father, don’t let me run in vain. Deliver my heart from vain pursuits and grant me direct access to Your kingdom blessings and benefits, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
