RELENTLESSLY PLEASING GOD

No one will fail while following God, seeing that the Almighty can never lead astray. James 1:14 says, “But every man is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed.” If you allow your heart to stray into sin and unrighteousness, you won’t be able to please your Maker. As 1 Thessalonians 4:1 (KJV) exhorts, “Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.”
The grace for the race is constantly available, but you need conscious effort and strong determination to follow the Lord to the end. You can’t afford to be a fair-weather Christian. Instead, be one who’s ready to renounce everything the Lord hates and pursue what He loves to the uttermost. You also need faith to walk with Him, for the Bible says, “Without faith, it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).
Therefore, be strongly determined this morning to love the Lord, follow Him, and keep His commandments. If you work towards pleasing the Lord, He will make your ways prosperous on earth, and it shall be well with your soul.
Prayer: Father, I receive grace to work with You and to please You in all my ways. Keep me in Your love forever and ever. Amen.
